I've discovered an unexpected side benefit of watching Doctor Who. A few weeks ago I was about to hack away at the brambles in my garden when I noticed they were a) in flower and b) covered in bees. First and most importantly Happy 82nd Birthday for yesterday to my dad. I didn't actually see him yesterday as he and my mum were on their way to Vienna (I hope). They couldn't get a flight from Gatwick so were flying from City Airport instead because as Dad said "instinct told me to stay away from Heathrow!" I haven't been around too much recently as I've had a streaming cold for most of the week. I'd forgotten how unpleasant summer colds are! I don't seem to be feeling very updatey at the moment, but I did think I ought to share my glee at the newest Spike comic "Lost and Found". Spike does seem to be rather fortunate in his comic book incarnation as both the writers I've read so far, Peter David and Scott Tipton, appear to really enjoy writing for him.
